Biomass boilers provide an easy and affordable way to heat your home. By burning wood pellets or wood chip, these boilers can provide heat and hot water on demand at a much lower cost compared to an oil, gas or electric heating system. experience has shown that a biomass boiler can be up to 70% cheaper to run compared to a standard fossil fuel system.
Biomass boilers are also one of the greenest ways to heat your home. Our selected manufacturer provides a range of boilers which are reliable, cost effective and user friendly. Each biomass installation comes with a five year warranty on parts and labour.
From external to internal biomass boilers, we can design and install a bespoke system which is best suited for your home. We can also provide a wide range of storage options from boilers with internal storage to external hoppers to providing a fully automated system.
Biomass boilers are compatible with Solar Thermal systems. A typical well sized Solar Thermal system should provide around 50-70% of the domestic hot water requirements of the home per year, representing a worthwhile saving on hot water heating costs.
The most popular biomass boilers are pellet supplied in bags, these are fully automatic. These are suited to locations with limited space which are unable to have hoppers installed. These type of biomass boilers go up to 25kW.
Using a biomass system to heat your home will generate income through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. Each household will receive quarterly payments for a seven year period, these payments will be calculated on the required heat demand of your property.
